Volante Strings

Worcestershire's Volante Strings is a chamber-style string orchestra now in its 14th year. Violinist George Ewart will be their guest leader and director in this concert which celebrates Britten's centenary, gives a rare performance of Telemann's Don Quixote Suite and allows Huntingdon Hall's organ to shine in a Handel concerto.

Badke Quartet

The Badke Quartet, celebrating its 10th anniversary this year, is widely recognised as one of Britain's finest string quartets. The Quartet regularly performs at all the major concert venues and music festivals.

Fontanella Recorder Quintet

A source of recreation and entertainment over the centuries – from merry-making at the Tudor courts through its role in storytelling and songs and playing depictions of nature, to the simple pleasures derived from playing music with friends.

The Fontanella Recorder Group, with five of the UK's leading specialist recorder players, have been delighting audiences of all ages for the past ten years in programmes designed to bring the history of this remarkable instrument to life. Their lively concerts span six hundred years of music to the present day, performing on an array of instruments of every shape and size from their beautiful 15-piece renaissance consort to their set of Paetzold 'square' basses.

The 'Two Michaels' are a long established duo who have given numerous recitals throughout England, and also, a most successful concert in Girona Spain. They have been wonderfully received everywhere they have played, and their CD, Rondino [Volume 1], has also proved very popular.

Clare Hammond

Acclaimed by The Daily Telegraph as 'a pianist of amazing power and panache' Clare Hammond comes to perform a diverse programme. Framed by two dances, the Bach-Brahms Chaccone and Ginastera's Danzas Argentinas, her programme include popular works by Mendelssohn, Schubert, Satie and Mozart.
