Laura Snowden is an award-winning classical guitarist and composer. She was the first guitarist to graduate from the world-renowned Yehudi Menuhin School where guitar tuition was made possible by a donation from the Rolling Stones.

The Boscobelles are all respected period instrumentalists with a collective wealth of international performing experience. When an opportunity arose to draw this together in a chamber ensemble, they leapt at it.

The Songmen

The Songmen

With 'Faith, Folk and Frivolity', The Songmen present a journey through the genres, taking you from some of the finest in renaissance polyphony including Byrd and Palestrina, through contemporary sacred music with settings by members of the group, vivid, humourous, and engaging madrigals featuring Clément Janequin's epic 'La Guerre', original takes on familiar folks songs, and their trademark jazz and pop arrangements. This is all presented in their own perfectly-blended, entertainingly-performed style.
